As an artist Andrew has been changing the face of house music for over a decade. His releases on some of house music's most elite and diverse labels (OM Records, Seasons, fourplaymusic.net, Farris Wheel, Gallery Music Group, Look At You, Alphabet, .dotbleep, Smooth Agent Records, Market House Meats, Roam Recordings, Industry Recordings, Cafe Del Mar Music) have sculpted a sound that clearly defines his frame of reference and at the same time outlines a cadence to his eclectic taste in Chicago House Music.
He is currently one of Chicago's most preeminent producer/DJs. Having multiple productions on many top 100 charts and various labels worldwide, a notable discography, extensive DJ resume, as well as sustaining support from prominent Chicago House icons, Andrew proves that he is an artist not to be underestimated.
Change Request is the subtler moniker of four play music label boss, Andrew Emil. It is a developmental project with many years in the making. Having written different styles composition professionally over the past 15 years including work for orchestra, film, TV, as well as Electronic music of varying genres, most notably Chicago House. Change Request is an idea focused around a merging of select styles that have been at the center of Andrew’s ultimate goal: Rhythm and Blues music that is equally introspective as it is danceable (at times). Change Request’s musical focal point is about telling stories through incidental, sometimes subtle, sometimes-danceable music.
This is the debut EP for this moniker that is being supported with a full length LP for Seasons Recordings in Spring 2013. Change Request is an urban contemporary tale of Rhythm and Blues.
